Accounting Firm
Bachelor of Business

Hi all, I am now working in an accounting firm! It is a job that all accounting graduates want. However, this job is not easy to get, especially without any professional help.

I was an international student studying an accounting major at Monash University. I was proud of my degree and had no worries about the job market given my excellent grades at university. I started applying for accounting jobs online and waited for response. However instead of receiving an interview, I got rejected and tons of negative feedbacks came to me. I started wondering why and decided to look for help from my friends.

Luckily, my friend introduced me to GradSolutions. I went to the FREE consultation session and talked to the consultant who was very supportive and who made me feel comfortable. Soon after that, I decided to take up their Complete Package.

First, they refined my Resume and Cover Letter and it resulted in amazing applications of me. I could never get better resume by myself! The next step was the Professional Development Program (PDP) where they coached me for interview techniques and how to make phone calls to employers and recruitment personnel. It was really personal and they helped me to identify my strengths and how to overcome my weaknesses. The final step was how to present my strength to the employer at the real interview.

Thanks a lot to GradSolutions for playing a fantastic role in getting me this job! They gave me a thorough preparation, and when the opportunity finally came to me, I was ready to seize it and give it my all!

For all of you who have a problem in landing yourself a job, please read this.

I arrived in Australia few years ago to complete my study in commerce and accounting. Expecting that I would get a great job after graduate, I started my job hunting by sending off thousands of applications to the online job search engine like everyone else. Nevertheless, it was not giving me any positive result for my job hunting. Then I realised, rather than waiting like everyone else, I tried to look for alternative way to land myself a job.

From the word of mouth of few friends of mine, I found out about GradSolutions. Impressed with the competency of the Senior Consultant at the first consultation, I took up their Resume Refinement and Cover Letter Services (RRCL) and Professional Development Program (PDP). I was amazed by my new job applications and felt that they taught me a lot during the Professional Development sessions. I was enriched by fantastic interview strategies and answers.

At the end of the day, I landed myself a job at an Australian company which operates in the financial industry that I can apply my qualifications into! I highly recommend you to speak to them and take up their amazing services!

I was a proud graduate of the Monash University, majoring in accounting and finance sector. The bullish domestic market coupled with excellent university grades naturally implied that I was strongly equipped with the necessary technical skills in a seemingly great time of record low unemployment. Having also attended several workshops on resume writing and interview skills set by the university, I was led to believe that I was more than sufficiently prepared for the job seeking stage of my life.

However, reality stuck and without any job interviews after ample job applications, my prospects in Melbourne were sinking. Fortunately enough, I was introduced to GradSolutions by my friend. I first met up with one of the senior consultants and took on the Resume Refinement and Cover Letter service (RRCL). I was absolutely impressed with the package they had prepared. It was in all aspects professional, well-structured, brought out my strengths and more importantly, and was so much better than what the university workshop had done. I was getting back my composure and this brought out my instinct to fight. I decided to go even one step further and participated in the Professional Development Program (PDP), where I got to understand the “interview” by learning the goals, types and styles of interviews. This was what the PDP sessions offered - the key to success.

All thanks to GradSolutions, I ultimately succeeded in landing myself in a job I was passionate about. When preparation and opportunity collide, my career in Melbourne reached a turning point. Thank you GradSolutions!

It has been a wonderful experience having graduated and completing my bachelor, certainly an achievement worth going through. Throughout my education and independence, I felt wonderful and couldn’t wait to hit the workforce. However, it was a tough end to 2008 and I suddenly felt pressure after having worked part-time in a role I really didn’t want to continue in. My education had equipped me to tackle technical questions as well as walk into any office confident of the knowledge I had gained in the past three years. It was with the deteriorating economic condition that impacted my job prospects and this worried me.

I was lucky then that my friend referred me to GradSolutions. Initially I felt that I could apply and try the job market myself. However, after unsuccessful results, I decided to approach GradSolutions and seek assistance. It was a simple process and it made sense. Through the constant communication with my consultant and the assistance provided by the team, I was able to build confidence and find the right networks to find work. Eventually I found a job in a big four bank and I couldn’t have been happier. I must admit I had lost hope at one stage, however I was always reassured and there was the support I needed.

I highly recommend those who are having problems finding a job and seek professional assistance, especially with GradSolutions. I hope 2009 will be a stronger and more promising year despite the negative news. Best of luck!

For the past couple of months months, I’ve been working for ANZ as an Accounting Officer. How did I get here? After completing a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Finance, from the University of Melbourne on July 2007, I tried to find jobs through the Internet, university career website, and employment agencies and the newspapers. It seemed extremely difficult, particularly for someone from a foreign country with English as a second language. A career in Melbourne was not looking promising. I felt depressed and disappointed because I had good grades from a reputable university.

My destiny changed when I first heard about GradSolutions through a friend. The consultants brought back my confidence, and I was taken aback by the level of attention I received. I was now presented with many more interview opportunities. I further participated in the Professional Development Program (PDP), where I built my confidence and professionalism. I had a better idea of what interviews were about, how to prepare and what to expect, as well as my overall presentation. I was equipped with the necessary skills to exemplify my key strengths further. This was clearly a turning point in my job hunt.

Currently, I am finally working in the industry I am passionate about. With the aid of GradSolutions, my career is on track and I can now see my life more meaningful and fulfilling. With persistence and the right attitude, anything is possible. Never give up and surround yourself with professionals!

GradSolutions has successfully brought my confidence back. I lost them gradually as I failed each interview by interview since I graduated. Marketing positions are very competitive, many companies prefer candidates with in-depth experiences, an area I was lacking in.

I was referred to GradSolutions from a classmate. She successfully secured a position with the assistance of GradSolutions after failing numerous times. The Resume Refinement and Cover Letter services (RRCL) were wonderfully done. Their aim was to emphasize my strengths and professionalism. The Professional Development Program (PDP) was really effective as it is one-on-one and I felt that this was the turning point in gaining my confidence back.

The consultant showed me to a different perspective in approaching interviews to bring out my strengths and how to leave an impression on potential employers. My confidence grew and I could see the light. To get my foot in the door in my chosen career, I was advised to apply for a marketing administration position in a shipping company that encourages staff development and career progression. Not only did I get the job but I am now glowing with confidence and feel the world is my oyster.

GradSolutions consultants are really dedicated in what they do. They tried to accommodate for my tight schedules in order to have a meeting with me and help me through until I secure a jo
