Like most of the other international fresh graduates, I was short in local experience and did not hold a PR when I first started my job-searching process. I decided to get help from GradSolutions because I considered myself as a lazy girl who needed to be motivated by others.

My name is Helen Yang. I was an international student from China studying towards my Bachelor degree from one of the most popular university in Australia. I had no idea about the though job market before I graduated therefore did not really prepared for job hunting process. When I actually went into my job application process, it seems that Australian job market is tougher than what I expected.

I came from China years ago to pursue my tertiary degree in Australia. My studies went very well and I graduated in three years with very satisfying grades. I applied for many graduate and entry level positions in the Information Technology industry after I graduated. With no background in IT before, it was really hard to obtain a job in that industry.
